Some Things to Expect during Construction
JCD will do its best to make your experience as comfortable as possible. However, it is a construction project and some things are hard to control. The list below was created to help inform you of some house keeping items.
DUST AND DEBRIS
All construction projects have dust and debris. We will plastic off as much as reasonable, but some dust will still escape into the adjacent areas.
There will be some daily cleaning and organizing. We try to keep a clean work area, but the cleaning has to be kept within reason to keep costs down.
We will spend a little more time cleaning before a weekend.
QUALITY WORKMANSHIP
JCD follows the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines (RCPG) and provides you a digital copy for your reference. For more info see: RCPG Consumer Access
AVAILABLE FACILITIES
If there is a restroom close by that can be used, it would be appreciated.
Tool and material storage will be needed.
SCHEDULING AND COMMUNICATION
Normally, nobody will be on the project before 7:30am or after 6pm. Sometimes, to make deadlines or to finish up, work can continue on into later evening hours.
Normally, no one works Saturdays. If needed, work can take place on Saturday if approved by homeowner.
We will do our best to keep you informed of project schedule and process.
We utilize project management software called CoConstruct. You will get a welcome email once your account has been activated and connected to this project. For more information on the features and use of CoConstruct, please watch this 6-minute video.
